Guidelines for students who access the building

Download the UniTrentoApp on your phone and keep it updated, you need it to self-certify your state of health and to register when you enter and when you exit the building.

You need to login to the UniTrentoApp with your UniTrento credentials in order to check in and check out. The QR-Code for check-in and check-out are placed at the Department entrance (more details are available at the following “ways of accessing lecture halls” section).

Avoid any queues or gathering and patiently wait for your turn, maintain safety distances. Get organised in advance: you can check-in even 50 minutes early and until 5 minutes before the start of your lecture. Once the lecture has started, you can’t enter the room. Attention: you will be allowed to enter the building where lectures take place only on days (or half-days) when lectures are scheduled and if you booked a place for the lecture. If you can’t find the authorisation, don’t go to the Department because you will not be allowed inside the building. To receive the check-in authorisation on your UniTrentoApp, you need to book your place at live lectures by accessing your study programme’s calendar, starting from Friday 18 September.

You will be able to book a place at lectures taking place over the following seven days but no later than a day prior to the day of lecture. If you have two consecutive live lectures in the same room, you need to book a place at both and to arrive at the start of the first lecture. A break-time outside the lecture hall is not foreseen.

In order to be promptly informed about the organisation of each course, both courses which only provide online remote lectures or courses which also include live in-person lectures (blended mode), access the Moodle online community promptly:

  • Download the “Access to online classes” widget from the MyUnitn area or visit the following webpage https://webapps.unitn.it/gestionecorsi/
  • Click on the “Are you a student?” heading and provide authentication with your UniTrento credentials.
  • Click on “online classes you’re enrolled in” and search for the class you want access to. If you can’t find it, click on “online classes you could enrol in” and search for it again.
  • Once you have found the class, access by clicking on its heading.
  • Read the professor’s communications and check the timetable of lectures. If a live in-person lecture is cancelled, don’t go to the Department, you will still be able to follow it online. In any case, the authorisation for that day will not be removed from your UniTrentoApp.

Remember, if you book a place at a live in-person lecture, you must:

  • Have inspected the information material at the following link: https://didatticaonline.unitn.it/ateneo/course/view.php?id=357
  • Identify yourself through the UniTrentoApp by scanning the QR code (those who don’t have the chance to do so must fill in the form of self-certification which can be found at the entrances of the building and that should be handed in to the front desk personnel. We remind you that only authorised people can access the building).
  • Always wear a face mask inside the buildings, the minimum requirement is a medical/surgical mask.
  • Know which lecture hall you are assigned to beforehand and access the buildings through the entrances that are recognisable from the outside, making sure to respect social distancing.
  • Follow the signs when you reach the hall and then leave the building.

Also remember:

  • To throw away surface disinfecting napkins in the appropriate bins if you use them.
  • To follow the signals, and directions on safety rules of professors, of “lecture hall tutors” and of UniTrento personnel.
  • Not to stop on the stairs or in the corridors; immediately reach your room, it is preferable to go to the bathroom before accessing the Department. In case you’re already inside the building and you need to use the bathroom, do it before entering the lecture hall.
  • To use the elevators only in case of proven real need.
  • To avoid exchanging personal belongings.
  • To stay inside the building only for the strictly required time for attending classes.

When in the lecture hall:

  • Sanitize your hands before taking a seat: you can find the dispenser at the entrance.
  • Maintain order during the access to the building and respect social distancing.
  • Bring to the room only what is strictly necessary.
  • Take a place starting from the rows at the back of the hall and sit down in sequence in the allowed seats, respect what is stated by the signs on the seats. When the lecture ends, leave your seat the other way round, from the first rows to the last ones, exit the hall in an orderly manner.
  • Maintain the 1-meter minimum distance from other students and always return to your place, even after a break.
  • Choose the coat hangers that are most distant from the desks and leave an empty space between your belongings and other people’s.
  • Bags or backpacks must not be left on desks or chairs, not even on the unusable ones, you can put them under the chair or under the desk you’re using.
  • Limit your movements inside the hall and don’t leave during the lecture if not for pressing need.
  • Don’t touch the heaters and don’t place anything on top of them.

NB: Temperature measurement is not necessary when you access the building; anyway, by presenting a QR-code or a self-certification, the student declares that he hasn’t been diagnosed with Covid-19 infection, that he doesn’t have any symptoms related to the Covid-19 infection and that he has not been in close contact with people falling under these categories.

If you don’t feel well:

  • If you feel unwell during the lecture, alert the professor and go to the reception to have your body temperature measured.
  • If you test positive to Sars-Cov-2, inform the Department management immediately and report any of your movements at the University in the 2 days prior to the day of the first symptoms.

Ways of booking a place at the lecture hall

In order to follow the live in presence “blended” teaching activities, you must book a place at the hall on the Easyacademy application. It is important to check on the published timetable for any possible division into different groups based on the surname initial for each lecture hall (e.g. “Group A-C). Once your presence in the hall has been authorised, respect the instructions provided and go to lectures only on confirmed days and times, so as to guarantee a safe attendance to live in presence lectures.

Ways of accessing the lecture halls

In order to speed up the access of students, which should take place in time for the start of lectures, 4 QR Codes have been placed at the entrance of each of the following routes:

  • Red hall à access through the two glass doors at the main entrance of the building (Via Inama). You can enter the hall from the two main doors that face the lobby. You must exit from the four doors at the back of the hall by using the UniTrentoApp and by scanning the exit QRCode.
  • Blue hall à access from the inner courtyard through the two dedicated glass doors. Students access the blue hall from two inner courtyard entrances, walk up to the second floor by using the stairs that are indicated by the signs and enter the hall from the second-floor doors. Students exit the hall from the four doors at the back (third floor) and they exit the building by using the same stairs they walked up to enter the hall.
  • 1A, 1B, 1C, 2A, 2B, 3E halls and IT third floor hall à access from the inner courtyard through the two dedicated glass doors. Students walk up the staircase that is indicated by the signs (in front of the lift) towards the halls. They exit the building by walking down the stairs that are indicated by the signs (south of the building, not the ones they used for entrance). Students enter the halls from the door next to the teaching desk and they exit them from the door at the end of the room, if there is one.

You can download a pdf which contains a map of the building’s access and exit routes from the download box.

We remind you that your stay at the Department must be strictly limited to the period of attendance of the live lectures you booked a place for. Therefore lingering around the internal and external communal areas is not permitted either before or after lectures.
