Editorial check
Before posting, the Editorial Committee performs an editorial check for:
- Completeness: title-page metadata (authors/affiliations/emails, abstract, keywords, acknowledgements/funding, disclosures, references.
- Basic formatting: clear structure and sectioning, numbered figures/tables, readable layout, valid PDF/file integrity, page numbering from the first page.
- Compliance: research-integrity and openness requirements (data/code availability statement where applicable; rights/permissions; ethics approvals if needed).
- Scientific quality (discussion-paper standards): clarity of the research question and contribution; appropriate and transparently reported methods; credible results and interpretation; positioning in the literature; minimum reproducibility (links to data/code where feasible).
Editors may request minor revisions or decline manuscripts that do not meet these minimum standards. Acceptance in the series does not imply endorsement; journal submission is encouraged for formal peer review.
